Brain Wave Therapy

Brain wave therapy works under the basic understanding that the brain controls the rest of the body.  Many scientists believe that because the brain is in direct control of all bodily functions certain frequencies can be used to heal various ailments and parts of the body.  In a sense it’s training the brain to better operate the body.

There are two basic types of brain wave therapy, inpatient and outpatient.  The inpatient therapy usually takes place in a clinic or hospital where the patient is given some sort of stimulus, and the brain waves are measured. 

Depending on the specific type of therapy and what goal the patient is trying to reach they will either be given positive or negative feedback.  This is how the brain learns to conduct the appropriate behavior.

This is a great treatment, however it’s very expensive and not every insurance policy will cover this type of therapy.  The other option is the outpatient version of brain wave therapy.  People can listen to specific sounds and frequencies that will trigger different kinds of brain waves. 

These waves will have a message hidden in the sounds that will promote healthier behavior, or help a patient’s brain better communicate with parts of the body.
