The Basic Airsoft Tactics Strategy

As in any type of war there are a general set of guidelines that should be followed to achieve success. The following is a set of principles to use in warfare. Remember, these principles of warfare are just guidelines and in war much like in life, nothing is certain.

The Teams Main Objective:

With any military operation ther is always a decisive, obtainable objective.
Leaders should be able to lay outstep by step orders to follow to obtain the outcome you seek in battle. Everyone on the team or in your squad should know and understand the objective, this will allow them to better respond to changing conditions. Being able to take advantage of an enemies sudden weakness or to retreat in the face of unexpected enemy strength, enable the team player to take the initiative when they know the overall objective or plan.

Teams Concentrations:

The dispersion of your team is essential. The first limit to a teams dispersion is communication, You must keep your team close enough to communicate with each other effectively. The second limit to a teams depersion is having the ability to concentrate your attack power. Teams must be close enough to communicate and coordinate and concentrate their weapons on a single target or enemy.

Preparing Teams To Maneuver:

Each team must be organized and be able to quickly maneuver, either to attack and enemy or retreat from an enemy. Being able to quickly maneuver allows your team to attack with a superior force, or brilliantly defend themselves while retreating. Another aspect to maneuvering your team is maintaining a reserve to respond to changing conditions.

A Teams Knowledge Is Power:

Any team, squad or unit that has s good intelligence network is powerful. They can easily defeat a much larger team that has no intelligence network in place. To protect your teams intelligence network an equally good security system must be put in place to make it as difficult as possible for your enemy to obtain any of your intelligence or information on your  activities.

Watching The Teams Multipliers:

The following formulas may be simplistic but are valuable as general guidelines. Remember it will cost you twice as much to attack and to defend, you will lose more men attacking than defending. A flank or rear attack is twice as effective as a frontal attack. The element of surprise doubles the effectiveness of your attack. When you do something that is predictable you double the chances of being defeated. One's defense strength is directly proportional to their fortification strength.
