Paintballing, BT Omega or BT 4 Combat?

I am about to get started in paintballing, and have about $300 to spend to start out.
I really want the milsim kind of look and feel, minus the weight, which I hear is a big thing about the Omega. My little brother has the BT 4, which looks great, but feels a little short with the Apex barrel. It feels like a sub-machine gun of sorts, and I want the feel of a full size assault rifle.
Should I get the Omega or should is there a way to customize the BT 4 to almost the same specifications?
Also, what hopper should I get, or should I go a completely different way like magazines?
Thank you Joe, but I should have clarified, I would be playing woodball. Not anything serious, just games with friends. Would BT be good or do you still stand by your answer?

I used to play speedball and was even sponsored for a little bit by a local shop (they gave us paint and let us practice at their field. once in a while they would toss us a gun or two.) Honestly the speedball guns shoot faster, which is the main factor for a gun anyway. Although I did play speedball for most of my career in paintball thus far recently, I have switched to woodsball ( I guess speedball became more of a chore I was doing after a while). Woodsball guns look cooler, are more accurate... but thats it. You could put E triggers into the guns and they'll shoot pretty fast bust still wont touch the speed of a speedball gun. I believe in accurate, paint efficient shots (as I need to pay for my own paint nowadays). There is one gun that I now use that is MUCH more accurate than all the rest. Most guns have a slight difference in accuracy, this one is SUPERB (for woodsball only of course) The Tiberius T9 is the gun I could help you build to your liking.... hoppers are no longer needed.
