Pool Event Eve and Can't Sleep

The title Pool Event Eve above would be extra accurate if it mentioned day instead of eve. As I sort this text, 4:36 in the morning, March 1, 2008, I should be sleeping.

Tomorrow is the annual Dr Cue Event here in Pueblo Colorado. Billiards is pretty well-liked right here in Pueblo. This event is the biggest held here. Players come from all around the State of Colorado and generally just a few other states. We now have 2 BCA (Billiards Congress of America) National Champions residing right here in Pueblo together with many other players who shoot lights out.

Dr. Cue (Tom Rossman) puts on a trick shot exhibition the evening before the tournament. I attended this show final night where I payed my entry price of $40 and watched Tom placed on an awesome present as usual.

The pool corridor where this tournament is played is about 15 minutes from my house. I made it house by 10:30 PM and finally fell asleep round eleven:30. Proper on good job. Get some relaxation before the tournament. Not.

My eyes popped open around 5 till two and I've not been capable of get again to sleep. Thursday evening wasn't much better as a result of I solely slept about 4 hours. I am hoping that penning this post gets me tired.

I will probably be bringing my lap top to this event and plan to report on the event between my matches. I may even be bringing my video digicam which can also be a reasonably cool digital camera. This could make for some cool reporting and hopefully some attention-grabbing and thrilling content.

Between a couple of mind freeze attacks and and watching some billiards on my DVR another half hour has gone by. It's now 5 in the morning and I have to be current in the pool corridor by 10:00 AM. Ouch. Don't they know that pool players aren't early risers by nature?

Properly maybe my plan is working. I just skilled a yawning attack. I think I will try and get about 3 or four extra hours sleep time in earlier than the massive Dr Cue Pool Tournament today.

is this a good paintball gun?

Im just getting back into paintball, after 6 years. Im using my brothers ANS Gx-3 autococker, and when i took it to the paintshop at my local playing grounds, they went wow, havnet seen one of these in years. Ive tried doing research but it seems autocockers are the first made guns, and to date, they arent good any more. Not to mention, the ANS is super loud.

Take in mind, right now im only a recreational shooter, and dont plan on buying a 1,500$ gun.

Autocockers weren't the first made paintball markers, but they are probably considered the first high end markers. They are also the most versatile marker ever - you can convert them to pump to mech to electro, just by switching parts around. No other marker can do that (without some modifications).

As to them not being good anymore, they're still good, just outdated. Even WGP's most recent attempts at updating the autococker haven't panned out - karnivor as the ultimate high end cocker, but the price tag was too much; trilogy series for more entry-level players or beginners, but people felt it strayed too much from the cocker concept; and finally the SR, which hasn't done well at all because guns like Egos are too popular, and even mid-level guns like PMR's, Minis, G3's, etc, are more enticing.

Extreme Rage guns would be a step DOWN from autocockers. There's better guns out there. Heck, a Spyder or Azodin marker would be better than an Extreme Rage marker, like a Spyder Pilot or an Azodin Blitz. What's your budget? Knowing how much you plan to spend will help narrow down your choices.

In any case, keep the GX3. It's almost a collector's item. And as mentioned above, you could do a lot to it. Get an Eblade frame, board, solenoid & solenoid housing, and you can make it an electro (total cost for all that is probably $150-200 if you buy new). Get a pump kit, and you can make it a pump ($30-90). Just don't get rid of it.

Automags, Autocockers, New Players, etc
